A 27-year-old patient with a prolactinoma represents the first reported case of an isolated unilateral internuclear ophthalmoplegia secondary to embolism, and also appears to be the second reported case of embolism via a persistent primitive trigeminal artery. It is also the first incidence of this disorder as an angiographic complication.
